Missouri State Council of Fire Fighters Endorses Graves
(N. Kansas City) - U.S. Congressman Sam Graves was joined by representatives of the Missouri State Council of Fire Fighters and local firefighters in Kearney to receive their endorsement.
“The upcoming election in November is critically important to fire fighters, first responders and the communities that we serve,” said Tim Dupin, Missouri State Council of Fire Fighters. “Sam has been a tireless advocate for us in Congress. He has consistently supported increased funding for staffing, equipment and training in our fire departments. We need to send Sam Graves back to Congress to fight for us.”
Sam Graves has been a consistent supporter of firefighters and all those who protect our communities. Graves has supported the SAFER Program which provides funding to hire new firefighters and the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program which helps fire departments with equipment and training. Graves has also supported increases in funding for the United States Fire Administration and the National Fire Academy.
“As a former volunteer firefighter myself I am honored to have their support,” Graves said. “Our campaign clearly has the momentum and we are getting support from all corners of the district. Voters are looking for solutions not just rhetoric.”
The Missouri State Council of Fire Fighters joins a growing number of voters from both sides of the political aisle who are supporting Sam Graves’ campaign for Congress. Veterans, farmers, and democrats in all 26 counties have endorsed Sam Graves.
The Missouri State Council of Fire Fighters represents over 6,000 Firefighters, EMS Workers, 911 Dispatchers and Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys.
