Democrats for Graves Announced
(N. Kansas City) - U.S. Congressman Sam Graves was joined by local Democrats in St. Joseph and North Kansas City today for the unveiling of the Democrats for Graves Coalition. Graves was joined by St. Joseph Mayor Ken Shearin and Clay County Democrat John Dillingham.
“Whether it is working to lower gas prices, making our economy strong, or securing our borders, Sam Graves has a record of fighting for solutions for Missouri’s families, small businesses, and farmers,” said John Dillingham. “That is why we are all proud to put party aside and support the best person for the job—Sam Graves.”
Shearin pointed to Graves’ lifelong residence in the 6th District and his Missouri values as reasons for supporting Graves.
“When Kay Barnes left St. Joseph for Kansas City, she put our town and our values in her rear view mirror until she wanted our votes.” said Shearin. “Sam Graves grew up in Northwest Missouri, worked in agriculture, and has the work ethic and the family values that are still important to us today.”
In Congress Sam Graves has worked on bi-partisan legislation to improve education, end speculation in the energy markets, support our farmers, increase benefits for our veterans, and secure our borders.
“This election is about who can best represent Missouri,” Graves said. “I am honored to have their support.”
