Graves supporting flood insurance extension

Maryville, Mo. — U.S. Rep. Sam Graves, whose Sixth District includes flood-stricken Atchison and Holt counties, has introduced a bill that would extend the National Flood Insurance Program through May 31, 2011.
A short-term extension was awaiting President Barack Obama's signature last week. The program had been temporarily renewed through May but has since expired.
