Dear Fellow Missourian,
 
Last week, I filed for re-election as your representative to Washington D.C. I am proud of my record. I helped extend tax relief to all Missourians. I worked to get a DEA agent stationed in St. Joseph. I’ve supported investments in bridges and roads all across the Sixth District. I wrote and passed legislation to keep predatory lenders from preying on our troops.
 
However there is more to do to make Washington work for Missouri. I want to end our dependence on foreign oil. I want to make sure that every Missourian who wants a job, can find a job. I want to secure the border and defeat amnesty once and for all. I also support our troops and I want to make sure that they have all the tools they need to win the war against radical Islam.
 
You know, so often I’m asked what it is I believe in. I sat down and came up with this list.
 
# 1 I believe the Pledge of Allegiance has the words “under God” in it for a reason.
 
# 2 I believe that the second amendment deserves the same protection as the rest of the Bill of Rights.
 
#3 I believe that taxes are our money- and we pay too much of it to the government.
 
#4 I believe that there are better ways to use your free speech than by burning the flag.
 
#5 I believe that our military is the best in the world and I am proud of them.
 
#6 I believe that you ought to come to this country legally and learn English while you are here.
 
#7 I believe that marriage is between one man and one woman…period.
 
#8 I believe in the sanctity of every human life whether born or unborn.
 
#9 I believe that the people, not judges, make laws.
 
#10 I believe in America , in its promise, in its hope and in its people.
